DNS Stands for  DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM 

Computer did not understand human language if  computer did not understand human language how search the website because computer understand IP (INTERNET PROTOCAL) address 

Suppose we speak  English language and  want to communicate Hindi language .it can not be possible . it is for effective communication we need translator .it same in internet computer and web browser understand IP address .we human understand the language only .
